I’ve been keeping bees in Philadelphia since 2006. I have always had them in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia, but also in Mt. Airy, Germantown, Eastwick, West Philadelphia and Chester. I currently manage about 60 colonies of my own and for clients.
I am a founding member, and long time board member of the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild and currently heavily involved in our efforts to increase our organizational stability. Get in touch with me if you’re interested in our strategic plan, grant writing, fund raising, revenue generation, etc.
Like all urban beekeepers, I am always looking for more space for bees.
If you have a space that can handle bees please get in touch. I will set up and maintain apiaries of 5 or more colonies at my expense and ‘pay’ you a gallon of honey per year. That takes a bit of space though and many sites are not suitable.
I will maintain a smaller apiary for you on annual payment or hourly basis. Get in touch if you’re interested in that. You get the honey if you pay me to keep your bees.
I can also stop by and consult if you need that. My hourly rate is $75 with a one hour minimum. Please use the contact form if any of these interest you.
I sell my honey through the Guild Honey Fest and associated events, and through various local vendors such as Weavers Way Coop, and T and F Farmers Pride.
If you’d like to sell Beekdaddy Honey, please get in touch!
